Tender strips of beef and crisp broccoli florets are wok-fried to perfection in a flavorful sauce, then tossed with thick and chewy udon noodles. Ingredients:
- 1 lb. flank steak, sliced thinly
- 1 head of broccoli, chopped into florets
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 4 servings of udon noodles, cooked according to package instructions
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Mix the oyster, soy, hoisin, and cornstarch in a small bowl.
- Warm the vegetable oil over high heat in a large pan or wok. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 mins.
- Take away the beef from the pan and set aside. Stir in the broccoli florets to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 mins until just tender.
- Add the onion, garlic, and mushrooms to the pan and stir-fry for another 2-3 mins until fragrant. Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture.
- Cook the beef and vegetables until the sauce has thickened, about 2-3 mins. Serve stir-fry with the cooked udon noodles, garnished with fresh cilantro leaves.
